Dancing takes more than just knowing the steps; it’s about rhythm and more importantly finding the right partner to match that rhythm. Knee deep in problems (self inflicted and easily avoided ones at that) she’s still the right partner. Her attempts at goodbye were taken with a grain of salt so she might as well have pressed herself as close as she could without throwing their steps out the window. In her quest to be closer she might have even given a little tug asking he get closer as well. As he spoke however her line of sight fell, her cheek against his chest listening and plotting ways to respond without bringing up the problem. “You are an idiot for thinking you can’t learn a dance.” It was harsh but spoken in a chirp that promised she was kidding despite the animosity of the past few weeks. “You’re a natural Dick.”
