She jumped as he spoke only because she thought he’d have the good sense to keep quiet; she knew he’d been watching and she choose rather willfully to do nothing about. It was strange and off putting that he stared the way he did but at least when he was gaping he was not speaking. As a response she drew herself closer pulling her robes in and over and pushing up her glasses as she spared him a glance (1 second, 2 second) before her gaze swept back to her book and she responded with gritted teeth.
“I’m sure there is. But you know what restricted means don’t you?”
